Diet and Nutrition for CP

Has it ever crossed your mind what does a CP child eat? Does he or she eat normal food like any other child? We always have a discussion on what kind of therapies does a CP child need. How does he or she progress upon the therapies. Well let's add another topic in our discussion.

Let's talk food.

But first, let me share this with you. It's good to know that we have another type of diet which is specially designed for CP.

Happy reading!

See if you can catch me!

Hey there! Wanna race with me?

I'm faster than fast. Quicker than quick!

Ok, mommy has got to diet after this.

And he rises again!

Such a wonderful feeling seeing him up and smiling. Wouldn't want to waste any seconds of this moment.

It didn't take long for him to wake up. The next thing was, he was back to his cheeky smiley self. Precious!

My handsome, sleeping

It was heartbreaking to see him lying on bed and weak. But I was more greatful to see him breathing. He was sleeping quietly for full one hour.

No time to panic

We knew the drill. Yup, that was it.

Hubby packed all the necessity and within minutes we were already on the road.

Syabil was still clotheless and motionless. I put on his clothes, tried to call his name. Alhamdulillah, he responded.

We went straight to Emergency Ward, Serdang Hospital. Seemed to be a quiet Tuesday morning. It didn't take long for Syabil to be admitted to semi critical ward where he was treated by his first houseman, Dr Ariff.

By 10.40 a.m., Syabil was set to be admitted into Paediatric Ward. One of the nurse asked whether Syabil should be transported by a wheelchair or bed. Little that I knew that she was concerned for me hehe..

Well, you know what happened next.

See you in the next entry!

And the fit strikes again...

It was just like any other normal day. We sent Zaim to his transport as usual and proceeded to Nenek's house. It went on perfectly normal. who would have thought the underlying monster strikes again!

It was 7.45 a.m. when I received a distressed call from my mom. We were approaching the toll. When I heard my mom screaming frantically, I knew something was wrong. Syabil was attacked by seizure and this time without fever.

For the record, it was the third attack with 6 months gap after the last episode.

I called my office, feeling guilty but my child is more important. We drove back home the soonest we could. Along the journey, Daddy tried his level best to comfort me and remain calm himself. Every second was so valuable to be wasted. We had heart to heart conversation in between.

The moment we reached home, we saw Syabil, naked and covered with towel, motionless. How heartbreaking!

To be continued...

Long time no see?

Or should I say,

Long time no entry?

Whatever it may be, hope you have a good life out there. Now, let us start something. A good, better ones.

See you in the next entry!
